Melissa Teng is a new media designer and artist based in Boston, MA. She creates processes, tools, and events to explore social issues collectively. Previously she co-taught a partnered studio course on participatory design and research at Emerson College and worked as a UX & data visualization designer, creating open data platforms for governments in North and South America. Her visualization work has been featured in the New York Times and awarded at the Webby’s, Kantar’s Information is Beautiful, and Awwwards. Melissa enjoys curating art shows and worked as the co-director of a gallery that exhibited local, early-career artists of color. She is currently a Masters in City Planning candidate.
